Host profile
Who is Johannes?
Johannes Malkamäki is an unusually versatile host who moves easily between performance skill, scientific understanding and striking entertainment. More than ten years of experience and hundreds of corporate events show in his assurance on stage and in his ability to respond with presence and professionalism.
Johannes has hosted significant events including the Microsoft AI Tour, the European Commission's Europe Day, Health100 and Finnovations, as well as celebrations and galas across industries.
A master's degree in biotechnology makes him an excellent choice for expert events that require interpreting content and communicating it in an interesting way without flattening the substance. His performance is not only technically smooth. It is affecting, warm and engaging.
What makes Johannes unique is his skill as a professional magician. He can add magic or mentalism in exactly the right measure: to bring humour, to break the ice or to offer a number people remember. Whether it is a stage show or close-up magic moving from table to table, Johannes creates moments people talk about afterwards.
Johannes Malkamäki performs fluently in both Finnish and English, and his experience of an English-language school in Kenya shows as a natural feel for language in international settings. He understands cultural differences, can meet different audiences and builds bridges between magic, knowledge and feeling so that each event feels like its own.
As host
Johannes as host
Johannes Malkamäki is a warm, situationally aware and extremely well prepared host who builds a strong connection with the audience, whether the occasion is an expert seminar, a networking dinner or a gala. His academic background, a master's degree in biotechnology, makes him a particularly natural choice for demanding content-heavy events where understanding and interpreting the substance is central.
As a professional magician he can pace a programme with magic and mentalism in a way that surprises and entertains without undermining the dignity of the event. His performance is internationally convincing, including language skill and cultural sensitivity.
