Host profile

Who is Suvi?

Suvi Koivusalo hosts and moderates international events in particular. She is straightforward to work with, and she brings humour and warm interaction to the room. Unexpected moments, on stage and in a live stream, are familiar ground.

She loves interviewing people and asks the questions the audience has in mind. The atmosphere is warm and present: performers and the audience feel seen. Suvi helps each person shine with their own strengths and makes sure a speaker feels supported while they are on.

Her English is fluent, down to an American accent, from years of acting training in the United States and Britain. Spanish comes easily, and she has also brought performers on in French and Swedish. Part of her studies in international corporate communications took place in Argentina and France. An international room is home ground.

Alongside those studies she has worked as a television journalist for British ITV News and for the public broadcasters of Denmark and Finland. The interview craft is there, and so is the habit of getting up to speed on a new subject.
