Olli Keskinen's A Better Working Day is a humorous talk on getting more done without stretching the working day. It starts with Kummeli's first TV deal and ends with habits you can take back to your own team.

Speaker profile
Olli Keskinen is an entrepreneur, speaker and one of the creators of the Kummeli sketch series. He is known as the host Eero Kakko, but at corporate events he walks on as himself. His most requested talk is A Better Working Day (Parempi työpäivä): a spoken-word piece where Kummeli's early years, an entrepreneur's experience and workplace common sense share the same story.
This is Olli's main talk for company events. It gets laughs in the room, and it still travels around the coffee machine afterwards. The whole piece turns on one question: how do you get more done at work without the days stretching and the team burning out?
Olli opens with a story. March 1991, the Kummeli office at the Suomen Trikoo factory in Tampere. The first contract with Yle TV2 has just been signed. Ahead of them: 90 minutes of sketches for the Finnish Broadcasting Company, six weeks to deliver. Nobody is celebrating. It is panic: what did we just promise?
Out of that panic came a way of working. The group took up habits that turned out to be surprisingly productive. A lot of them are deliberately ordinary. You do not have to play helpless at work. You take the problem in your hands. Complaining makes you look as if you have no options. Useless work can simply be dropped. You do not need a project for that.
When the days ran long, output fell at the same pace. The atmosphere tightened, mistakes piled up and fixing them ate the next hour too. The answer was not more hours but a limit: the working day ends when you said it would. Time stayed under control, focus lasted longer, mistakes dropped and the work got better.
This is not a Kummeli history lecture. It gets the room thinking about their own week: what could I and our team do differently as soon as next Monday. The ideas do not need a particular industry or job title.
Length 45-90 minutes, language Finnish or English. Time can be left at the end for a discussion that Olli leads. It fits kick-offs, staff days, leadership events and seminars where you want both a laugh and something to put into practice.
Olli also offers Pelisilmä, a talk on reading situations and how you behave during the working day. Classic lessons are brought into the supermarket, customer service and the workplace: strength is not always enough, game sense is.
When the event wants the characters on stage, Olli arrives with Timo Kahilainen for a Kakko & Oikarinen booking. Host Eero Kakko and CEO Aulis Oikarinen then deliver A Better Working Day, the Kummeli way, tailored to your occasion.

A practical talk on reading situations at work. How do I behave during the day, and how does game sense grow in a climate of trust?
Kummeli's backbone is the feeling that you are not alone. Olli weaves humour and sharp observation into a talk that leaves a shared language for Monday.
