Speaker profile
Sakari Nisula is a speaker, certified foresight professional, and futurist. His mission is to increase communities’ and organisations’ ability to anticipate change and act accordingly. He is Director of Foresight and Client Relations at FIBRES, which develops a smart, AI-assisted application to support continuous foresight work. Previously Sakari has worked, among other roles, as a Senior Foresight Specialist at KONE, in technology consulting and business development, and in research roles at the Finland Futures Research Centre and at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School.
Sakari’s talks are participatory, insight-rich, and full of concrete tools. He does not only inspire: he gives the audience thinking models and methods for recognising trends, interpreting weak signals, and building direction in a rapidly changing world. Sakari helps people see that the future is not only an inevitable course of events, but also a shared building project.
In futures thinking Sakari is particularly interested in systems, creativity, and a human perspective.
